I was so very fortunate to spend one on one time with a few amazing Leaders in the last couple of weeks who love our concept of Thrivability . One such intense conversation took place on the top of a cliff sitting against a tree overlooking the Pacific Ocean (very thrivable scene!) with one such Thrivable Leader - the incredible Barbara Marx Hubbard who has never known what a boundary is (she once ran for VP of U.S.).

She said to me that those that rise above the rest in Leadership say Yes Yes Yes to Vocation, (not career) never knowing where that yes is leading to, but a knowing that it is going somewhere. Life changing and dramatic on the impact for the person who says "Yes"... and dramatic then to many on our planet as the result of that Yes. We agreed that saying Yes to Vocation is Yes to Thrivability in Action.

What if we all said Yes to Vocation rather than career? I am thinking.....Perhaps.Global Thrivability?

Yes Sue! That's so consistent with other teachers across the different domains of leadership and human potential. Spend some time with Peter Block's extraordinary book The Answer to How is Yes. (Which means exactly what the title says). A prosperity/entrepreneurial coach I have known and worked with for some time (Toni Stone http://www.wonderworks.org) has always taught this, and following insights such as these keeps you quite engaged. There's much to say Yes to, perhaps following the lead of Yes is the call to vocation itself that Barbara suggests.
